As part of building your brand it is important to define the target consumer. The more you understand your customer the more successful you will be. You also need to know your competition in order to differentiate your brand from others. I will provide my toolkit to guide you in identifying your target consumer and defining how your brand meets their needs. I will also provide a framework to build-out a competitor review.

I will mentor you on transforming your idea into a successful brand. I will provide a framework to define the brand purpose, vision, mission and core values. This work will lead into defining the unique value proposition, tagline and brand messaging pillars. We will also start to think about the brand positioning. Finally the work will define the logo, tone of voice, typography, brand colors and an initial mood board.

We will start to build out the initial collection plans. If you do no have a design background, I will provide guidance on working with a freelance designer that makes sense for your brand. The key to product development is the creation of the tech packs. I will provide my expertise on how to build out a commercial collection while ensuring the collection is on brand and speaks to the target consumer.

Finding the right supplier to manufacture your products is one of the most important decisions you will make. The factory can source fabric, create the samples and produce the collection. You will need to find one that has a low MOQ and produces high quality products. Based on the cost to produce we will identify target pricing and margins and review the competition to ensure alignment with your brand positioning.

Launching your brand requires both a website build and a go-to-market marketing strategy. I advise you on building an easy to navigate site, including how to build your brand homepage, category and product pages and tools that improve SEO. I will also advise you on your social media strategy, how to build a community of your target consumers and a content strategy that creates interest in your new brand.

In our final weeks we will develop a production strategy of your collection, identify timelines and make decisions regarding logistics including distribution and warehousing. Production is an upfront investment and we will not only create a launch schedule, but consider quantities by style, size and color based on seasonality and the commercial viability. You will leave having all the tools you need for a successful launch.
